Scott Newcomer starts lobbying firm

Former Rep. Scott Newcomer has announced the formation of lobbying firm Newcomer’s Consulting Group, with offices directly across the street from the state Capitol in Madison. Newcomer’s Consulting Group specializes in government relations and contract procurement, with services also available in association management and also specializing in services to nonprofit organizations in both full-service headquarters management and management consulting. The organizations Newcomer’s Consulting Group serves are professional, trade, and philanthropic in nature and range from local to national in scope.

Newcomer was elected to the state Assembly in the 33rd District during a special election in January 2006. He was re-elected to a second term in November 2006 and served as chairman of the Assembly Committee on Financial Institutions for the 2007-08 session and ranking member for 2009-10, as well as serving on committees on Housing, Public Health, Education, Health and Health Care Reform, Labor and Industry, State Affairs, Labor, and Medicaid Reform.
